The first GAVOX collection was officially presented to the public between Friday 14th and Saturday 15 of December 2012. The event, held in Genval, Belgium, was attended by guests from various professional fields such as aviation, military and modelling.

The list of guests also included a prominent member of the watch collecting community, namely Ernie Romers, founder of Watchuseek.com, the World's most visited watch forum. Mister Romers was in the area with his family to visit a relative, but he made a little detour to get aquainted with the GAVOX brand.

Here is an account of the event, as published by Ernie Romers on Watchuseek.com:

On the evening of the 14th and 15th of December, Gavox will be holding a party in Genval, Belgium, to unveil the new Curtiss P-40 collection.

Taking cues from aviation instruments, the Curtiss P-40 timepieces are named after the notorious fighter plane Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, which was used by Allied Forces during WWII.

This collection was created in honor of the American Volunter Group (AVG) who joined the Flying Tigers in China in 1939 to prepare the Chinese defense against the Japanese attack.

The event will be held at:

Création en Brabant Wallon#

06. October 2012

The founder of Gavox presented his own prototypes and samples from a partner brand at the sixth Création en Brabant Wallon exhibition, held between October 5th and 6th at the Hélécine castle in the province of Brabant, Belgium. Closeups of the watches are available on Facebook.

The purpose of the exhibition is to showcase emerging talents from Walloon Brabant, in the French-speaking part of Belgium. This was a first for the founder of Gavox, who attended with retro-inspired watches distributed in Belgium by his company. "My company is 18 months old but i have been developing watches for over two years. My last project, which will unfortunately not be showcased here, will be a world first: besides local time, it will display time in countries that are outsides of standard time zones and are either off-standard by 15 to 30 minutes. More than 20% of the world population lives in one of those countries".

25 Creatives Exhibiting at the Hélecine Castle#

26. September 2012

Éditions de l'Avenir, owned by the publishing group Corelio, published an article about the 6th Créations en Brabant wallon exhibition, held at the Hélécine castle in Belgium.

GAVOX founder Michael Happé attended the event amongst 24 other exhibitors. He told to the reporter from L'Avenir that « as a big fan of watches, I established Time2Give in 2011. My timepieces are mostly designed for men. I am dealing in aviator watches that are readable at first glance with luminous hands on a black background. They all come on a NATO strap that does not stick to the skin and lets it breathe. »

During a catwalk showcasing garnments from attending fashion designers, the male models wore GAVOX watches lent by Time2Give for the occasion.
