There are very few microbrands that can be found on Watch I Love. Gavox is one of these very few. Reasons: excellent price-quality ratio, backed by exquisite beauty and an extremely passionate man. We have a look today at the smallest family, the Gavox Stellar: three lovely pieces, from which, one conquered Diana’s hearth.

The Gavox Stellar Collection: Stellar Golden Stars, Stellar Navy and Stellar Rosedate

The Gavox Stellar Collection was created with the classic marine watches in mind. Delicate dimensions reminding of the smaller watches that used to be the daily companion before smartphones started to occupy our hands and pockets. The Stellar was created as a unisex piece, the only one bearing the ladies in mind being the Stellar Rosedate. Regardless of initial thinking, the collection gained success between the feminine collectors.

The watches come in a 36mm polished steel case, except Stellar Rosedate with a rose gold finish. The watch is fitted with a well proportioned Gavox personalised crown. The elongated, curved lugs contribute to the classic look and offer comfortable wear, regardless of the wrist size.

Gavox Stellar Golden Stars

The name of the watch comes from the date/night 24 hours indication from the 7 o’clock position. The delicate applied decoration has a certain charm. It enriches the stamped dial with details and colours.

Stellar Golden Stars uses blue Breguet central hands, that hoovers over the silvery dial decorated with printed Roman numerals and an exterior railtrack register and Arabic numeral for minutes/seconds. The details are beautiful.

The watch is fitted with a stainless mesh bracelet but can also be fitted with a leather strap. Both Diana and I found the bracelet versions the most attractive. Powering the Golden Stars is the Japanese quartz Calibre Miyota 6P28.

Gavox Stellar Navy

The most traditional of all three, the Gavox Stellar Navy is a small seconds ravishing beauty. The blue Breguet central hands are accompanied by the six o’clock positioned small seonds.

The beautiful font is well delimited by the surrounding printed decorations and stamped patterns. Again, the mesh bracelet is a nice addition to the entire look. The Stellar Navy is powered by the Calibre Seiko VD78, a quartz movement with 3 years battery life.

Gavox Stellar Rosedate

The Rosedate, the first watch of the collection (and from Gavox) designed with the ladies watches in mind. The watch received a rose gold finish and an assorted rose gold finish mesh bracelet. The watch presents a round sub-dial indicating the date. The complication, together with the crown are positioned at 4 o’clock. The central Breguet hands received a rose gold finish as well.

Gavox Stellar Rosedate is powered by the Calibre Miyota 6P26, a quartz date movement with 2-years autonomy.

Conclusions

The Stellar Collection is a delicate, rather elegant collection but acting sporty in case of need. In fact, it is a versatile set that can tick many requirements.

The Stellar Golden Star was Diana’s choice. The Sun and stars were the most attractive dial details. The combination of the steel bracelet, silver of the dial with blue hands and contrasting golden decoration were the decisive factor. The crown discreetly positioned at 4 o’clock makes the watch comfortable in any wrist position. Reasons for which Diana asked me to come back to Michael and buy the watch.

The appearance, dimensions and overall look make the Gavox Stellar perfect as a daily piece that will fulfil the needs of a sporty but also of an elegant watch.
